Patient Bill of Rights

At MDMD, we are committed to providing safe, transparent, and respectful care. Every patient who uses our platform is entitled to the following rights.

  • 1. Dignity & Respect

    You have the right to be treated with dignity and respect at every stage of your care, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.

  • 2. Clear Information

    You have the right to receive clear, understandable information about your treatment plan, prescribed medication, potential side effects, and the identity and credentials of your prescribing Provider.

  • 3. Know Your Provider

    You have the right to know the name and credentials of the licensed healthcare provider responsible for your care.

  • 4. Ask Questions

    You have the right to ask questions about your care at any time and to receive answers in plain language that you can understand.

  • 5. Refuse Treatment

    You have the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time without penalty. Your decision to refuse treatment will not affect your ability to seek care elsewhere.

  • 6. Privacy & Confidentiality

    You have the right to privacy and confidentiality of your health information. Your data is protected in accordance with HIPAA and applicable state laws. See our Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices for details.

  • 7. Access Your Records

    You have the right to access your medical records in accordance with applicable law. To request your records, contact us at help@mdmd.com.

  • 8. File a Complaint

    You have the right to file a complaint if you believe your rights have been violated. You may contact us at help@mdmd.com, or file a complaint with the relevant state medical board or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

  • 9. Emergency Care

    If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. MDMD is not an emergency medical service.
